Relocation (Most Effective): Install the box 60-90 cm above ground level on a post or wall.
Watertight Enclosures: Replace the original box with a NEMA 4/IP66 rated enclosure, designed to resist water and moisture.
Immediate Sealing:
Apply rubber gaskets to the lid.
Seal cable entries with silicone sealant. Protect a Gate’s Control Box from Flooding
Ensure cables enter through the bottom of the box.
Interior Humidity Control: Place silica gel bags inside the box to absorb residual moisture.

If your control box is already installed, improving its seal is the first step.
Foam or Rubber Gaskets: Purchase adhesive foam or high-density rubber gaskets. Turn off the power, open the box, and apply the gasket around the entire perimeter of the lid, making sure it doesn’t block critical vents (if any).
Silicone Sealant or Cable Glue: Use an exterior-grade silicone sealant (weatherproof) to seal any openings where cables enter the box. Also, seal any small gaps between the box and the wall or post.
Elevate Cable Entry Points: Make sure cables enter the box from the bottom. If they enter from the top, water can run down the cables directly into the box. Re-route the cables or create a drip loop to allow water to drip before reaching the box.
