Which gate is right for your property?

The right gate depends on your driveway, the space available and how often it's used. We'll recommend the best option during your free on-site estimate.

01

Sliding gates

Ideal for wide or sloped driveways and limited front space. Available with chain-drive or rack-and-pinion operators, from residential to heavy-duty commercial.

02

Swing gates

Single or double swing gates with linear-arm or pad-mounted operators. A classic look for driveways with room for the gate to open.

03

Cantilever gates

Slide gates supported by rollers without a ground track — perfect for uneven surfaces, gravel and commercial entrances.

04

Telescopic gates

Multiple panels that slide together, opening wide entrances where there isn't room for a single long slide gate.

05

Pedestrian gates

Walk-through gates with self-closing hinges, magnetic locks, keypads or push-to-exit buttons for homes, pools and buildings.

06

Barrier arms

Fast parking-lot and community entrances with LiftMaster Mega Arm and other high-cycle barrier operators.

Not sure which one fits? We'll measure and recommend the right gate — free.

Professional gate installation, start to finish

A gate is a long-term investment in security, privacy and curb appeal — and it only works as well as it’s installed. Electric Gate Repair Services designs, fabricates and installs complete automatic gate systems for homes, gated communities, condominiums and businesses across South Florida. With more than 15 years of experience and our own welding shop, we handle every step: the gate, the posts, the operator, the wiring, the safety devices and the access control.

Built for South Florida conditions

Heat, salt air and hurricane-season winds demand the right materials and hardware. We recommend powder-coated aluminum or galvanized steel for corrosion resistance, operators with battery backup for storm outages, and surge protection for control boards. In Miami-Dade and Broward — both in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone — we design installations with local wind requirements in mind.

Residential and commercial installations

For homes, we install driveway gates, pedestrian gates and custom-designed gates that match your architecture. For commercial properties, HOAs and parking facilities, we install heavy-duty slide gates, cantilever gates and barrier arms built for high-traffic, continuous use, integrated with access control systems like card readers and telephone entry.

After installation

We stand behind our work and keep your gate running with maintenance plans and 24/7 emergency repair if you ever need it.

FAQ

Gate Installation — questions & answers

What types of gates do you install?

We install sliding, swing, cantilever, telescopic, pedestrian and barrier-arm gates in aluminum, steel, wrought iron and wood, for both residential and commercial properties.

Can you automate my existing manual gate?

In most cases, yes. If the gate is structurally sound and moves freely, we can add a slide or swing operator, safety sensors and access control. If it needs reinforcement, our welding team can modify it first.

Sliding or swing gate — which is better?

Sliding gates work best for wide, sloped or space-limited driveways and resist wind well. Swing gates suit driveways with room for the leaves to open and offer a classic look. We'll recommend the right option after seeing your property.

Do I need a permit to install a gate in South Florida?

Many cities in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach require permits for new gates and gate operators, and Miami-Dade and Broward are in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone with stricter wind requirements. We review the requirements for your city and handle the permitting process when it's needed.

What happens if the power goes out?

We recommend operators with battery backup so the gate keeps working during outages. Every operator also has a manual release, and we show you how to use it.

How much does an automatic gate installation cost?

It depends on the gate size and material, the operator, the access-control options and site conditions like slope and power. We provide a free on-site estimate with a detailed written quote.

Do you install access control with the gate?

Yes. We install remotes, keypads, intercoms, card readers, telephone entry systems and smartphone control so your new gate is ready to use on day one.
